Photoshop - Where Do I Start?

Learn to navigate the Photoshop interface to do useful tasks, like simple photo manipulation, retouching, re-sizing and cropping. Apply techniques like masks and filters. You will also work with a scanned image, and be introduced to proper scanning practices. Add type to an image. Create an Animated GIF!
You will learn the difference between a psd (Photoshop file), tif, jpeg, png, gif, and pdf files. It will explain the purpose behind each and when to use them.
Learn by doing with a series of projects that walk you through each task. Materials are included for download.
Included is an invitation to a Facebook group where you can receive pointers from me, and share your work with other students.
You may opt for one-on-one sessions with me, if you feel you need them.
Class requirements are Adobe CC Photoshop, or a reasonably current version (There will be variables with older versions of Photoshop, but you have a sense of adventure, you should be able to negotiate it.) This class is based on the Macintosh computer interface. However, the key code differences are provided.

Terri has been an artist, cartoonist, and illustrator in addition to advertising and graphic design. She is the author of Entities-R-Us, Ghost Hunter Comic, and is a co-founder of IndyPara, Paranormal Investigators.
She has worked in advertising agencies, printing companies, game manufacturers, publishers, etc. from New England, to New York City, to the Hudson Valley.
Currently she is a professor at Marist College in Poughkeepsie.
